You mentioned not marking the daily lessons. I know what you mean. We found great help with that with the online Saxon Math Checker. www.DrAardsmasSaxonMathChecker.com. Now even Moms can love Saxon Math!

Hey Sheila,
Great to hear about your experience with Saxon. It's going to be interesting to see how our next 3 children do in that area. Glad to hear doing every other problem worked for you. Testimonies are so important!

We use Saxon, too, and my kids are now 15 & 12. I can honestly say that the subject they have the most solid grounding in is Math because of the constant drilling & repetition. You can't replace that, and my girls are now math whizzes!

We only made them to do every other problem, and that worked for us!

But I'm like you; I don't always grade in a timely fashion, either :).

Good deal Corie,
I remember when I first saw it a number of years ago, I thought I will never use that. It looks awful. Never say never! God Bless.

Thanks for posting this Allison. I hadn't even looked at Saxon, because I thought it looked incredibly boring (as you mentioned!) when my younger sister used it. Abbie is using Math Mammoth right now, and I had wondered whether Saxon might be something to look at later on. Putting it on my list of possibilities!
